Maternity Leave at EU Level and Its Impact on Gender (In)Equality

Discussions around the issue of maternity leave are timeless and although there has been a great improvement regarding rights working mothers, total policy upgrade remains challenge. This research focuses on efforts that have made at EU level in order for its member states to coordinate their policies establish favorable terms. Furthermore, impact employment rates, gender equality, family roles generally, many aspects people’s lives is highlighted. Last but not least, it should be neglected mistreatment women affects whole society only pregnant women, thus this reason, situation dealt with through pioneering revolutionary changes.
